Impact of endovascular treatment on clinical status and health-related quality of life.

Background and Aims: Investigating the impact of percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) on clinical status and health related quality of life in patients with claudication and critical limb ischaemia (CLI). Material and Methods: 61 patients and 64 limbs underwent a primary PTA (30 claudication and 34 CLI cases). Clinical status was graded according to Ahn and Rutherford and ankle/brachial index (ABI). Quality of life was assessed using the Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) preoperatively, one month and one year after the procedure. The concept of “children at risk” changes worldwide according to each specific context. Africa has a large burden of overall risk factors related to childhood health and development, most of which are of an infective or social origin. The aim of this study was to report and analyze the volumes of activities of fifteen At Risk Child Clinics (ARCCs) within the Beira District (Mozambique) over a 3 year-period in order to define the health profile of children accessing such health services. Proceso migratorio, condiciones laborales y salud en trabajadores inmigrantes en España (proyecto ITSAL)

Objetivo: Describir el proceso migratorio (razones para emigrar, tiempo de residencia), la situación legal y las características personales, laborales y de salud de los inmigrantes con experiencia de trabajo en España. Métodos: Estudio transversal sobre una muestra estratificada por país de origen (Colombia, Ecuador, Marruecos y Rumanía), situación legal y sexo. Entrevista a 2434 trabajadores (57,4% varones). Se analiza la información sobre el proceso migratorio, las condiciones laborales, la situación de salud y las expectativas de vida y trabajo. Comparación de frecuencias por país de origen.
